Messages not viewable

  I am logged in as a user with 2 messages and I can’t see either of the messages, is there something that I need to activate? http://i.imgur.com/7ZChkBi.png – here it shows that there are 2 messages but there is nowhere to click to view them?

  Any help would be much appreciated.
