Logged In & Taking Course status to control element visibility

Ihor, is it possible to control the visibility of items (HTML blocks, side menu, auto-generated lesson list on the course home page, etc.) based on membership in the course, non membership, signed in or not, etc?

    My ultimate goal would be
1: Show the side bar menu only for users who are signed in AND taking the course.
2: Show the lessons links at the bottom only for users who are not taking the course, or who are not logged in.
3: Show body copy that is common to all users.
4: Provide body copy that is only seen by non logged in users.
5: Provide body copy that is only seen by users who are not taking the course.
6: Provide body copy that is only seen by users who are logged in and taking the course.

This allows the course to provide three very distinct presentations.
1: Pure marketing to potential new users
2: Light marketing for users of other courses, but not yet users of this course.
3: Zero marketing with easy navigation focus for users of this course, when logged in.

I think this would make for a much better customer experience when using the course, AND a much better potential customer experience when making the purchase decision. Hopefully I am just missing a way to do all that (or even just some of that) now. And if not, maybe this could make it into an update if it’s not too hard? All the data is easily accessible already.

    Thanks!
    Gordon

    Ihor,
that’s awesome. That will at least allow me to hide the full on marketing stuff for people taking a course, which is the complaint I have gotten from customers. As for the other ideas, I’ll keep my fingers crossed. And again, if this and some other stuff I have mentioned got rolled in to a new Academy Pro, I would upgrade in a heart beat. 🙂
