Home page to have one page with sidebar and no date or 'read more' link to page

    Hi,
    Is it possible for the homepage to have a section (underneath the slides and audio player|) with a couple of paragraphs introducing the website (with no date or no read more link out to a further page)

    Can you take a look at this for me ihor.
    The premade pages like releases/artists show but not when a new page is added, it doesn’t show a white background it shows dark main background. The contact page added shows the white background..
